Student Records

Your child’s records may be viewed at any time pursuant to the Notification of Rights under FERPA. Please provide our office with five (5) days notice so that the record may be pulled. The record must be viewed in the presence of a HTA Administrative staff member.

Parents of students who transfer into the Hawaii Technology Academy will need to go to their previous school and formally withdraw their child. The previous school will need to send the student’s records to HTA, before our office will send this form to your child’s previous school upon receipt in order to obtain your child’s records. It is the responsibility of your previous school to mail the records to the HTA offices at that time.

Should you decide to withdraw from the Hawaii Technology Academy and transfer to a new school, your new school will contact the HTA offices to request your child’s records and we will mail the records to them. Should you decide to withdraw from the Hawaii Technology Academy and teach in the home, please contact our school offices and we will mail a copy of your child records to your school of record.
