State Standardized Tests

As members of a public charter school, our students participate in the following state of Hawaii standardized tests:

  • Fall Grades 4, 6, 8 and 9 Writing Assessment
  • Fall Grades 5 and 7 Science Assessment
  • Spring Grades 2-11 HSA Assessment

Participation rates are critical to the success of our school. According to recent regulations outlined in the “No Child Left Behind Act of 2002”, a public school is required to achieve a participation rate of 95% on any state testing. The school runs the risk of receiving a serious penalty from the state of Hawaii and failure to comply can lead to school closure.

For more information on HSA assessments, visit: www.alohahsa.org

Individual student performance results on statewide achievement testing will be distributed to both parents and teachers in a timely manner.
