General Enrollment Information
The Hawaii Technology Academy is a public school of choice.
HTA's student enrollment process seeks to ensure that all potential families understand the mission and unique nature of the Hawaii Technology Academy. Our families will need to attend a parent information session before the enrollment process will be approved. For a complete listing of upcoming parent information sessions, please call our office or visit our website at www.hawaiitechnologyacademy.org.
There is no discrimination in the admission of students to the school on the basis of race, creed, color, handicapping condition or gender. HTA provides a free, appropriate public education (FAPE) to all of its students.
Student enrollment forms for the Hawaii Technology Academy are available online at www.hawaiitechnologyacademy.org. Enrollment packages must be completed in full and submitted with all required documentation prior to enrollment acceptance and approval. Questions regarding the status of your enrollment should be directed to the HTA office.
Students who have received services under the Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act (IDEA) must provide this information at time of enrollment. A member of the Special Education Department will contact you to ensure proper placement of your child in our program.
Concurrent enrollment in another public, private or home school is prohibited. HTA is a public charter school and as such is NOT a home school program.
All students who are accepted at HTA are public school students. Students are not home schooled student as defined by law.
HTA is a Hawaii public charter school and is not a sectarian school and as such is not associated with any religious affiliations.
Fees
HTA does NOT charge fees for programs or services provided to our families. Enrollment with HTA is tuition free. Although HTA pays a reimbursement to provide a connection to an Internet Service Provider (ISP) to each family; any extra expense incurred (such as unintended long-distance phone fees accidentally incurred by a family) is not the responsibility of HTA.
